Chase covers, caps, fireplaces and inserts, measured right the first time
Every chimney measuring tool in one app: chase covers and caps to the 1/16″ with a 3D preview, fireplace and glass door measurements, insert matching against a 505-insert catalog, liner and flue sizing, and the 3-2-10 rule. Save it to the job or email the spec to your fabricator in one tap.

Chase covers
Tap the width and length on the drawing to enter the real measurements. Choose 1/4″, 1/8″ or 1/16″ precision and which side stays fixed as you edit.
- Add holes, or draw a custom shape
- Collar, storm collar, side skirt, drip edge and powder coat
- Stainless steel, copper, galvanized steel or aluminum
- AI Snap and a magnifier for reading the tape from a photo
- Preview it in the 3D design studio before you order

Caps and shrouds
Measure outside-mount caps or shroud-only orders, with lid overhang, skirt, screen height, mesh size and roof pitch for sloped lids. Then pick a lid style in 3D.
- Flat lid, low hip, hip & ridge, standing-seam hip, gable, barrel / arched

Fireplace measuring and insert matching
Enter the opening width and height, depth, back wall, depth at the top of the opening, mantel and trim clearances, hearth and flue size. ChimSuite checks the flue against the opening and then finds the inserts that fit.
- Catalog of 505 wood, gas and pellet inserts
- Each match shows BTU, heating area and liner size
- 502 of the 505 have the installation manual on file, one tap away
- Add the insert straight to the estimate
- The catalog is saved on the device, so matching works offline

Fireplace doors
Measure masonry or prefab / zero-clearance fireplaces for glass doors, with the overlap style marked on the drawing. The app reminds you of the knock test: solid thud is masonry, a hollow metal ring is prefab.

Liner and flue calculator
Size a flue from the fireplace opening, or find the largest opening a flue can serve. Results show round liner sizes with their area against the 1/10 and 1/12 ratios.
- Liner sizing, ovalization and Rumford fireplace sizing
- More tools: chimney cricket, area, unit converter, clearances to combustibles, pitch finder

The 3-2-10 rule
Enter chimney height and roof pitch, and optionally the distance to the ridge. ChimSuite checks IRC R1003.9: at least 3 ft above the roof penetration and 2 ft higher than anything within 10 ft. It tells you how many feet the chimney needs to comply.
- Chimney types: brick / masonry, framed chase, metal pipe
- Measure along the roof or horizontally
- Measure roof pitch with the phone
